Charlie Morrissey and Andrea Buckley will perform with 5 members of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra playing a piece composed by Orlando Gough.

The quintet is a part of the lost ballet “Trapèze” from 1924. Its 6 movements offer a large spectrum of rhythms and dynamics, as well as new possibilities for dealing with its content. The contemporary musical compositions react to Prokofiev’s work from three different artistic perspec- tives, which then are given a choreographic reply. Since the original “Trapèze” choreography has been lost, the dance concerts create a space for artistic reflections on how Prokofiev’s quintet could be considered from a contemporary position.
